SEXPLETIVE
The name SEXPLETIVE was chosen to reflect how our language around sex reinforces societal views of sex. Through our hesitancy to use accurate wording and anatomical language, and our choice of expletives (most curse words are related to sex or reproductive organs), we demonstrate that we subconsciously think sex is “dirty” and “bad”.
SEXPLETIVE is all about normalizing social perceptions of sexuality by making space for open and honest conversations, providing factual information, and by centering pleasure!
SEXPLETIVE Founder, Erica (she/her/they), has completed graduate schooling in sexual health, worked and volunteered at a number sexual health community organizations, and is currently employed in the adult toy industry.
Through these experiences, she has observed many gaps in the sexuality industry. We all deserve factual information about sex, more accessible supports, and body-safe, beautiful, sustainable sex toys! SEXPLETIVE is here to provide that.
Erica is a certified sexual health educator and is a ceramic dildo maker. Every aspect of her work with SEXPLETIVE is infused with evidence-based information, intention, and passion for a field that is often overlooked and shrouded in shame.
